If you’re looking for standard tolerances and other specifications for flat bar, you’ve come to the right place.

The following specifications are available from Arco Steel, but we are happy to provide custom measurements and tolerances for you as well.

Stainless Sheared and Edge Conditioned Flat Bar

• We stock T304, T304 ELC and T316 ELC

Standard Tolerances for Flat Bar Cut from Plate

Thickness:

– 1/8

– 3/16

– ¼

– 3/8

– 1/2

Width:

– 1/8

– 3/16

– ¼

– 3/8

– 1/2

Straightness:

• Measured on concave side of bar with a straight edge.

• 1/8” in any 5 feet, but may not exceed 1/8” x length/5.

Standard Stocking Sizes for Stainless Steel Flat Bar

We generally carry 5 sizes of flat bar with various measurements for you to choose from.

1/8” – choose from 0.5000 to 6.0000

¼” – choose from 0.5000 to 8.0000

½” – choose from 1.0000 to 8.0000

3/16” – choose from 0.5000 to 6.0000

3/8” – choose from 0.7500 to 8.0000
